Thanks Pocket, Fuse. Sure hope I can make PASIC next year, but I'll probably have to travel alot farther to get there.

The answer to this question is, The Best at what?
Theres no such thing. You can debate for the rest of your lives but, vinnie doesn't play like dave and dave doesn't play like vinnie. How fortunate for us to have... 2 players to latch onto instead of only one.
Can you think of any tunes that either of these guys have played on that inspires you, and then, turn around and say Vinnie or dave could have played that better. the truth is..there are some tunes that neither could have played better because they are both different.
Theres a tommy bolin site where Narada michael walden says...all the guitar players i played with ALL had something to offer. thats so true.
On a final note..Vinnie was/IS a huge fan of porcaro.
Take a listen to Porcaro's groove on Randy crawfords ..you might need somebody from the secret combination CD. The groove is so FAT on that track its hard to compare any fancy or flash lick that either Vc Or Dw have EVER done BUT, its not the best either.
Its all relative as they say. peace. Me2.
